Product Updates on SEAL - From Sulfur Cured to Peroxide Cured
We would like to inform you that under our continuous product improvement policy, Codeline has adopted a new and improved curing process for all EPDM seals used in our product runs. The old Sulfur curing process is being replaced with a Peroxide curing process. This change has been rigorously tested, validated and confirmed to provide better and wider chemical compatibility, resulting in higher durability and longer seal life.
DETAILS OF CHANGE & IMPLEMENTATION
- Due to the above changes, the old Section Numbers for seals are replaced with new Section Numbers. (See table 1 on the following page for a complete list)
- The applicable product sales drawings have been modified to reflect the new seal Part Number.
- No change to the assembly Part Number (where the seal is a component).
- The seal kit Part Number also remains the same.
- There is no change in dimensional specifications or aesthetic properties between the old and new seals.
- The new seals are fully interchangeable with the corresponding old seals, so there is no problem in replacing the installed seals.
- All spare part orders for individual seals must be placed with the new Part Number.
- This change is effective immediately.

- The 3” FC port seal (98621) was redesigned from a square seal to an O-ring for better sealing. The sulfur cured square seal (98621) is replaced with a peroxide cured O-ring (196141).
